ACGRC Programme Manager Liana Badalyan participated in the International Parliament Scholarship programme (IPS) sponsored by the German Bundestag and realised jointly with the Free University, Humboldt University and Technical University. Within the IPS, she was the speaker for scholarship holders who represented the Republic of Armenia.
IPS provided young political scientists from 28 countries with an
opportunity to get acquainted with the parliamentary government system of
Germany. During over 20 weeks, Liana Badalyan worked in bureau of the
Bundestag deputy of the Green Party Mrs. Ute Kochi (Speaker of the Green
Fraction development in Bundestag). She followed the daily work of the
parliament and the discussions about the political issues. Liana Badalyan
also spent the summer semester at the Humboldt University.
Within the IPS program Liana Badalyan also took part in informative- and
study seminars of the German political foundations: Konrad Adenauer
Foundation in Weseling, Heinrich Böll Foundation in Stuttgart, Friedrich
Naumann Foundation in Cologne, Hans Seidel Foundation in Brussels, Friedrich
Ebert Foundation in Nuremberg and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Berlin.
Liana Badalyan's research paper, Welfare in Developing Countries, was published in the German Bundestag.
